Travel Brings Us Home

I’m always looking for adventure in traveling to new places, soaking in different landscapes, seeing the way different people live, eating local food and much more so studying abroad in Florence, Italy my sophomore year of college was a no-brainer. It was a beautiful adventure but came at a time in my life where I really needed a new beginning.
I was struggling with anxiety that I couldn’t pinpoint. Living in a different county really widened my perspective, and God taught me a lot about what it means to trust him and lean into his goodness even when our circumstances feel out of control.
Not only did I fall in love with Italy and new experiences, this adventure helped me see home with new eyes and wonder. It was awesome to know the same God who spoke to me oceans away was the same God speaking to me at home. It may sound cheesy, but I’ve learned to appreciate the adventure around me in my daily life while still being open to new adventures that call.
