Brighter Days Ahead

The first commission of 2024 was Brighter Days Ahead I & II. I snapped a couple of photos of the pair before they were installed in their new home on Wrightsville Beach.

This diptych was painted for a coastal living room to sit on the top shelves of a built-in, flanking a TV. We added a little extra floated space between the painting and the frame to take up just a little more space and give the landscapes more visibility!

I suggested creating the pair as a diptych, rather than two separate marsh scenes, so it feels like one continuous landscape to balance the space.

I love that it feels bright and springy, yet soft and serene!

I always enjoy working with interior designer Julie Robinson to add artwork to a beautiful coastal space!
