Chateau Orquevaux Studio Tour

Welcome to my French art studio at Chateau Orquevaux! Where I spent two weeks painting as an artist-in-residence.

My studio was located in the stables, which is just down the hill from the chateau itself, and a short walk from my house in the village.

The stables were built in 1880, while the current chateau was completed in the 1890s.

I had a spacious studio on the front, right corner of the building.

The wall space was perfect for working on large canvases.

Plus, I had a giant table where I could spread out and work on my pastel paintings.

I love working in natural light, so my window was much appreciated. It looked out onto a beautiful wisteria vine.

Cozy, yet spacious, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better studio to work in for two weeks!
