Sarah Jane Collects: Christy M. King
I’m so thrilled to share with you the work of my dear friend Christy M. King! She is an incredible representational artist in Chapel Hill, NC. We met through our work in education in the area, and have since been on many a coffee date and nature walks with our pups!
I have two of Christy’s still life paintings. These little oil paintings are so darling! Her shading and level or detail are perfection!
I love having my citrus and avocado across from the kitchen in our dining area. (I’ll be sharing more about the other artists on my gallery wall in future posts!)

“Time at the easel allows me to enjoy ‘flow,’ to connect with others, and to think about my experiences as I attach meaning to my work. I am interested in representing life through paint, and love the constant practice of seeing and painting value and color. My main collections are still life, landscape, and botanical paintings from my own nature photos. Additionally, I enjoy playful breaks from painting with whimsical cut paper collages that catalog nature.” — Christy M. King
