A Carolina Day

Carolina Days: A bright, blue sky overhead on a beautiful day in the Carolinas. Carolina Days are best spent adventuring in the great outdoors and soaking up sunshine with friends and family!

With the release of my latest paintings with Liza Pruitt, I’ve been thinking a lot about my favorite way to spend a Carolina Day, and I thought it would be fun to hear from some other Carolina gals! So I asked a couple of lovely ladies their favorite way to spend a Carolina Day and had them pick their favorite painting from my new collection. You can read their responses below, and be sure to check out the incredible work they do, as well!

“My favorite from this latest collection is the portrait with the circular marsh. And it's fitting because my favorite way to spend a Carolina Day is out on or near the water! During the pandemic, I took up paddle boarding and I love exploring nearby lakes and rivers from this serene vantage point and being able to get up close to incredible wildlife like birds, fish and turtles.”

“We love to spend time at our lake cottage that is 40 minutes away from Charlotte! We have two kids who are 5 and 7, and they love swimming and spending the day on the boat.”

“Spending a classic Carolina Day out in nature with family! A hike on the Eno River, and having a picnic by the river, and seeing who can skip rocks the farthest.”
